We are a historic, working cattle ranch that invites guests to experience ranch life first hand. When you spend a week at our ranch, you help us move cattle, check and repair fence, doctor cows and horses and any other projects we have going on at that time! Share three meals a day with our family in a cozy setting with delicious home cooked meals, then spend the evenings star gazing from the cabin decks or hot tub. Our June guests may have the chance to camp on our mountain lease and help us repair fence in preparation for when the cows come up. Then from July- September, when our cows are pastured in the mountains, we camp for 2-3 nights a week to manage them. In your off time, do some sight seeing. Buffalo and the surrounding towns are full of history! Visit any of the local museums, check out the adorable downtown or take a drive up Crazy Woman Canyon.

Tour provider's comments

This tour is suitable for all riding levels. Equestrians should have no serious health issues and must be able to get on and off by themselves, using a mounting block is fine

Horse breed: typically Quarter horses, though we do have a draft cross, some mustangs and a Norwegian Fjord.

Tack type: Western.

*Please note that half the week is spent in the mountains at 9000 feet. The elevation can cause sickness for some guests.
