A real Andean descendent who comes from a Cusco family who truly love horses and I am married with Karina from the Netherlands. I grew up with horses and it's my passion to work with them. I am also an official tour guide and I like to work with turists from all countries, showing them around in my country Peru and explaining them everything about the history. My riding activities in the Sacred Valley were soon discovered, and our hacienda began to appear in guidebooks and on the lists of highly recommended equestrian tour operators. The riding expeditions high in the Andes are exceptional with my team.

Route details

Day 1
Ride to Misminay

10:00 Our team is waiting for you at our hacienda to provide you with important information about recommendations and restrictions for the ride.

10:20 Our journey starts at the base of the valley, where we pass by one of the largest Inka cemeteries in the Valley in the southern part of Yanahurara. We go through the circuit of beaches of the Vilcanota River and a forest of eucalyptus trees. Then we arrive at the sector of Tarabamba, where we cross the bridge of the same name in order to enter the Pichingoto sector and make our entrance to the Salinas de Maras checkpoint.

13:00 Arrival at the Salino complex and tour of the place.

13:30 We resume the ride towards the town of Maras, a town famous for its peculiar sculpted rock portals, a heritage of Spanish architecture and where we expect to have our first lunch.

14:00 Lunch in Maras.

15:00 Continuing our ride, we reach a second peak where the peasant community of “Misminay” is located, this place is quite popular due to its incomparable location from where it is possible to see the sunset and much of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

17:00 We arrive at the indigenous community of “Misminay”, where a commission of local farmers gives us an unforgettable welcome in the ancestral style and we learn a little about their way of life.

We proceed to settle in our rooms and have a hot drink with some snacks.

19:00 Dinner and rest in a local house.

Meals included: lunch and dinner.
Overnight: in Misminay.
