A real Andean descendent who comes from a Cusco family who truly love horses and I am married with Karina from the Netherlands. I grew up with horses and it's my passion to work with them. I am also an official tour guide and I like to work with turists from all countries, showing them around in my country Peru and explaining them everything about the history. My riding activities in the Sacred Valley were soon discovered, and our hacienda began to appear in guidebooks and on the lists of highly recommended equestrian tour operators. The riding expeditions high in the Andes are exceptional with my team.

Route details

Day 1
Ride to Misminay

09:00 Our team is waiting for you at our hacienda in Paucarbamba to provide you with important information about recommendations and restrictions for the ride. Once we are on our assigned horses, we head towards the Paucarbamba suspension bridge, which we cross before entering a forest of lush eucalyptus trees. Here, we have the opportunity to see one of the largest Inka cemeteries located in Yanahuara, on the valley floor.

Then we reach the Tarabamba suspension bridge, where we cross and register our entrance to the Salinas de Maras.

12:00 An abrupt route guides us from the valley floor to the salt flats halfway up the hill. We arrive at the Salinas, dismount and have a guided walking tour.

After our visit to the salt complex, we ride again and resume climbing up the hill until we reach the point for our lunch in Maras.

13:30 Lunch.

14:30 We continue riding through fields of barley, oats and other Andean products until we climb 3,500 meters above sea level, where we find the peasant community of Misminay. There we are welcomed by the locals with dances, songs and Andean music.

18:30 Dinner and overnight.

Meals included: lunch and dinner.
Overnight: in Misminay.
