On the second day of the tour, you have an exciting experience riding horses on the Altiplano while observing local farmers going about their daily activities. This is the longest ride of the tour, lasting for approximately 5 to 6 hours. You enjoy a picnic lunch halfway to the Inca complexes. The terrain is mostly flat and easy to navigate as you pass by Chinchero, Huaypo Lake and finally arrive at Tio Bamba, a peaceful village where you set up your tents for the night.
Tio Bamba serves as the gateway to the sacred valley of the Incas, providing stunning views of mountain ranges on the other side of the Urubamba canyon, including peaks over 5000 meters such as Chicon, Capacsaya, Pumahuanca and Halancoma. Throughout the day, you also witness local people engaging in agricultural activities and other daily routines.
