Route details

Day 1
Arrival Day

Depart early in the morning from Vancouver via our shuttle service, or choose to start your journey from home using your own transportation. Arrive at the ranch around midday and enjoy a delicious lunch. After that participate in a Horse Riding Orientation, where we will pair riders with suitable horses, fit saddles, and practice essential horsemanship skills.

Later join an introductory trail ride to familiarize yourself with your horse's abilities and the terrain we will traverse. Gather for dinner and reflect on the day's successes, appreciations, and challenges during our evening review. Engage in a map orientation that highlights the distinctive features of the Chilcotin Ark, the conservation initiatives you will be part of, and the trails and landscapes we will explore on our journey.

Prepare for the adventure ahead by repacking your personal gear into mountain duffel bags, which will be loaded onto the horses. Enjoy an overnight stay in comfortable ranch accommodations.
