Route details

Day 1
Adventure Begins

Begin your adventure with an early morning departure from Vancouver using our shuttle service, or opt for your own transportation from home.

Upon arrival at the ranch around midday, enjoy a delicious lunch before diving into your horse riding orientation. During this session, we will pair you with a suitable horse, ensure that saddles are properly fitted, and help you practice essential horsemanship skills. Next join an introductory trail ride to familiarize yourself with your horse’s abilities and the terrain. After a rewarding day, gather for dinner where you can reflect on your successes, express your appreciations, and discuss any challenges faced during our evening review.

We will also provide a map orientation, showcasing the unique features of the Chilcotin Ark and the various trails and terrains we will explore together. Additionally, you will learn more about bears and their habitats during this informative session. As part of our duffel routine, you will need to repack your personal belongings into mountain duffel bags, which will be loaded onto the horse for the journey ahead.
