Route details

Day 1
Adventure Begins

Start your adventure with an early morning departure from Vancouver via our shuttle service or from your home using your own transportation. By midday you will arrive at the ranch and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Next, you will participate in a Horse Riding Orientation, where we will pair you with the perfect horse, ensure saddles fit properly, and practice essential horsemanship skills. You will learn to saddle your own horse, empowering you to be self-sufficient throughout the trip.

Afterward, you will join an introductory trail ride to familiarize yourself with your horse's abilities and the terrain you will be exploring. As the day winds down, we will gather for dinner and reflect on the day's achievements, challenges, and things we appreciate during our evening review.

We will also provide a map orientation, showcasing the unique features of the Chilcotin Ark, the conservation initiatives you will be part of, and the trails we will traverse during our journey. To prepare for the adventure ahead, you will repack your personal belongings into mountain duffel bags, which will be carried by the horses. Finally, you will settle into comfortable ranch accommodations for the night.
