The itinerary consists of two rides totalling between 45 and 50 km spread over two days of riding. The first ride is between 28 and 30 km and the second around 20 km. Along the way, you will pass through landscapes of great geological, natural and cinematographic value, where characters such as ‘Indiana Jones’, ‘The Blond Guy’ and the ‘Dothraki’ have lived out their adventures.

The Tabernas Desert is considered the only true desert in Europe due to its arid characteristics. Its appearance and physiognomy are remarkably similar to those of the American deserts of Arizona, California, New Mexico and Nevada, reason why more than 250 European Western films were done in this region. Along your ride, you will discover that also other genres of movies have been filmed in this territory and other secrets of this amazing area.

Route details

Arrival day to the ranch by your own means. Accommodation at the inn. Dinner is not included (recommendations will be made). Contact with the instructor and assigned horse. You can use the kitchen at the lodge.

Horseback riding route designed for intermediate with hight level and experienced riders. Trot and gallop are required. This is an important point in order to generate a good rhythm during the route.

Personal insurance for each rider. Due to the spanish regulations we have an insurance which is conditioned to some security aspects like mandatory helmet. If you are an advanced rider and you don't want to wear a helmet you will have to bring your own insurance and sign a discharged responsability document. Recommended.

Rider boots.
Riding pants.
Rainwear and warm clothing (just in case).
Solar cream.
