A real Andean descendent who comes from a Cusco family who truly love horses and I am married with Karina from the Netherlands. I grew up with horses and it's my passion to work with them. I am also an official tour guide and I like to work with turists from all countries, showing them around in my country Peru and explaining them everything about the history. My riding activities in the Sacred Valley were soon discovered, and our hacienda began to appear in guidebooks and on the lists of highly recommended equestrian tour operators. The riding expeditions high in the Andes are exceptional with my team.

Route details

Day 1
PAUCARBAMBA – URUBAMBA – YUCAY – HUAYLLABAMBA – URQUILLOS – CALCA

08:30 The meeting point for this ride is your hotel where our transfer picks you up and brings you to our hacienda at Paucarbamba.

09:00 We begin our ride crossing the suspended Paucarbamba bridge. We take a narrow path along the side of the Vilcanota river, where we see the local Inka cementery, the village of Yanahuara. We follow the forest path until we arrive at the area where the Ch´aqwar flower grows, not too far from Urubamba.

The Inka palace of Qespe Wanka is the first complex for our morning visit. This complex will be found to the north of Urubamba.

We visit also the village and farmlands of Chichubamba and the Inka palace of Wayna Qapac in Yucay.

13:00 The first lunch is in Yucay, one of the most beautiful villages of the valley.

14:00 We ride along the side of the river until we cross the Huayllabamba bridge. There we find really big fields of white corn, a lot of local trees: the Tara, Molle, LLaully, etc. and many different kinds of Colibris.

We pass through Urquillos where we have the opportunity to view different buildings built by the Inkas.

17:00 We arrive at Calca, which is the place where we expect to eat dinner and spend the night.

Meals included: lunch and dinner.

Overnight: Calca hotel.
