This tour is designed for those seeking greater comfort compared to other rides in Mongolia. Instead of small tents and sleeping bags, you'll stay in yurts with comfortable beds, proper bed linen, and heating from a stove. Luggage will be carried by yaks as the camp moves every other night. The journey covers the southern outskirts of Khan Khentii and the picturesque Gorkhi Terelj National Park.
The tour begins with a brief drive to the Khan Khentii Taiga zone. Upon arrival at the Upper Tuul River, guides and locals will have already set up your yurts. After a day's ride in the area (staying two nights), the journey continues without vehicular support, venturing into wild terrain alongside local nomads and a caravan of yaks carrying baggage and camp equipment. Each location will be enjoyed for two nights, offering diverse landscapes including mountains, steppes, forests and leafy woods, often camping near a river.
Private trip supplement: 2/3 people + 600$ per trip. 4+ members no charge.
