This horseback expedition provides intimate encounters with Mongolian horsemen, a nomadic people who have successfully maintained their traditional way of life amidst modern influences. Mongolia stands out as the only nation where horses play such a vital role. The unique Mongolian horsemanship sets it apart from other regions.

During this journey, we will ride two diverse landscapes on horseback: starting from the vast open steppe, the summer grazing grounds of Mongolian herders, we will gradually transition into the picturesque forest steppe and ascend into the southern taiga region of the Khan Khentii Area. You will witness a variety of terrains including steppes, wooded meadows, forests and mountains, camping beside rivers. This expedition will be a true 'Nomadic Journey', without vehicle support, through rugged terrain.

Private trip supplement: 2-4 people + 500$ per trip. 5+ members no charge.

The area is stunning, and everything was well organized and dependable. We stayed at a lovely ger camp and had a fantastic guide for the entire trip. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Outstanding communication before my trip. I was able to easily customize my tour based on the dates and attractions I wanted to visit. The tour guide made every effort to show me all the things I was interested in and provide the experiences I desired, such as meeting nomadic locals, riding a camel and observing gazelles. Additionally, the food was exceptional. The cook was truly amazing.

The landscape is breathtaking, and the ger accommodations are cozy, with friendly hosts who speak English. We enjoyed three meals daily, which included traditional Mongolian cuisine and fresh vegetables grown on-site. However, be aware that cell service is mostly unavailable in the area. Occasionally, you might catch a signal for messages and notifications if you stand on a hill or sand dune. They do provide a spot in the dining ger for charging your devices, though.
