Magical Marwar Adventure

In the morning, we will begin with a sightseeing tour of the City Palace complex, followed by some leisurely shopping. By lunchtime, at around 1 pm, we will proceed on a 3-hour road transfer to Narlai. Upon arrival, we will be meeting our Marwari horses for a late afternoon trial ride. We will ride from the hotel to Jodha Stud Farm, the horses' home, where a delightful home-cooked Rajasthani dinner awaits us amidst the enchanting stable complex.
Our accommodation for the night is Rawla Narlai, a charming 17th-century property that was once a favored hunting lodge of the Jodhpur Royal Family who still owns the place. Over the years, it has been transformed into a stunning boutique hotel, preserving its original character and structure. 

Embark on a complete day of riding towards Dantiwara, a journey that takes us through charming villages and across the plains of the Aravalli hills. Along the way, we will pause for a delightful picnic lunch. Our destination is a camp located by the picturesque lake. 
We will spend the night at the camp, immersing ourselves in the serene surroundings and enjoying a peaceful overnight stay.

Experience a full day of riding as we journey towards Perwa, located within the Bali Forest. Our route takes us along the base of the Aravalli hills, heading southwest towards the village of Perwa. Along the way, we will traverse quaint villages and rural farmsteads, immersing ourselves in the local surroundings. As we continue, we will encounter the unique volcanic rock formations that characterize the area. During our ride, we will take a relaxing break in the shade to enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch, rejuvenating ourselves for the rest of the journey.

In the early morning, we embark on an exciting adventure to spot leopards in their natural habitat. Afterward, we enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing our journey towards Jawai Bandh, a picturesque reservoir. This magnificent destination is nestled within a pristine wilderness, where leopards roam freely in their natural environment. The landscape surrounding the area is characterized by rugged granite formations, including caves and kopjes.

In the morning, we will travel to Jodhpur by road. 
In the afternoon, we will embark on a sightseeing tour of the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort. Countless words have been dedicated to describing the Citadel of the Sun, as it is truly one of the most awe-inspiring fortresses in all of Rajasthan. Its colossal proportions led Rudyard Kipling to refer to it as "the work of giants." Today, it remains one of the best-preserved forts in India, admired for its remarkable state of preservation.
In the evening, we will have the opportunity for some shopping in the local market, where you can explore various stores and even visit an antiquities warehouse, adding a touch of exploration and discovery to our time in Jodhpur.

In the morning, we will have a short road transfer to Mathania, where we will reunite with our Marwari horses. From there, we embark on a full day of riding, starting our journey from Mathania and making our way towards Osian. Along the way, we pass through small hamlets and farmsteads, immersing ourselves in the local scenery. As we continue, we will be treated to panoramic views from the edge of the Great Thar Desert in Rajasthan. We will pause for a delightful picnic lunch and a short rest before continuing our ride to reach our next camp located on the outskirts of Osian.

Full day rideOsiantoHacra.Today we start to head deeper into thesand anddunes. You will see the local huts withthatched roofs as well as the scrub of desert vegetation, acacia bushes etc. We mayencounter wild Nilgai(Asian antelope) small chinkara gazelle, mongooseas well as otherflora and fauna local to thisdesertenvironment.We arrive at our tented camp close tothe communityhamlet of HacraEmbarking on a full day of riding, we continue our journey from Osian towards Hacra, venturing deeper into the sandy terrain and dunes. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to observe the local huts with their thatched roofs, as well as the desert vegetation, including acacia bushes and other scrub. Keep an eye out for encounters with the wild Nilgai, an Asian antelope, as well as small chinkara gazelles, mongooses, and various other flora and fauna native to this desert environment.

On this day we embark on a northbound ride from Hacra to Cullu. As we venture forward, the sand becomes deeper, but rest assured that your reliable Marwari horses possess an exceptional stamina unmatched by other breeds. These horses are specifically bred for desert conditions, and now you have the privilege of riding them in the very heart of their ancestral Marwar district, where their name originates.

On our final day of riding, we embark on a journey from Cullu to Khichan, renowned for its seasonal visitors, the Demoiselle cranes. These graceful birds migrate from the Mongolian steppes during the winter season (October to March). During the peak months of December, January, and February, the numbers of cranes can exceed 10,000, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
As we reach Khichan, we bid farewell to our trusted horses as they make their way back home overnight, deserving a well-earned rest after their dedicated companionship throughout our journey.

Following breakfast, we will embark on a 4-hour road transfer to Pushkar. This vibrant town hosts one of the largest horse and camel fairs in Rajasthan. During our visit to the fair, both in the mornings and evenings, we will have the chance to observe the diverse array of traditional attire worn by people who come from various corners of Rajasthan, gathering to trade horses, camels, and cattle.
In the evening, we will venture to the fair once again, this time ascending the hill to gain a panoramic view of the bustling event. 

A full day at the Pushkar Camel Fair offers an exceptional and highly recommended travel experience, regarded as one of India's top-rated attractions.
