Holi Festival Ride

In the morning, indulge in a delightful sightseeing tour of Udaipur, a city adorned with elegant cream, rose, and honeysuckle hues. 
The grand and imposing City Palace, topped with majestic cupolas, graces the eastern shore of Lake Pichola. From its balconies, you can enjoy captivating views of Udaipur's other renowned landmark, the Lake Palace, which appears like a fairy-tale creation seemingly floating on the shimmering waters of the lake.
Eastward, away from the lake shore, extends a tangled inner city of lanes lined with homes, temples, shops and businesses that is fascinating to explore.

In the afternoon, embark on a northward journey to Kumbhalgarh, a road trip takes approximately 2 hours.

During the morning, you will have the opportunity to explore the majestic Kumbhalgarh Fort. Regarded as the second most significant fort in Rajasthan. Notably, it is stated to be the second longest wall in the world, the first being ''the Great Wall of China".

In the late morning, the horse safari commences. You will be introduced to your Marwari horses, and together, you'll embark on a leisurely ride down the Khumbalgarh Sanctuary and the Ghanerao forest. 

During the ride, a late picnic lunch will be arranged along the route.

Passing through villages and riding in the plains of the Aravalli hills, stopping for a picnic lunch, we reach our camp situated in front of the lake. Camp overnight.

Our journey takes us along the southern part of the Aravalli hills, meandering southwest through the picturesque Bali forest of acacia until we reach Perwa. Along the way, we pass by charming villages and peaceful rural farmsteads, as we navigate through fascinating volcanic smooth rock formations. In the midst of our ride, we pause under the soothing shade to indulge in a leisurely and satisfying picnic lunch.

As we approach our campsite, we take a moment to halt and search for leopards, just outside the village, adding an exciting touch of wildlife exploration to our adventure.

This day we continue onwards to reach Jawai Bandh. This magnificent destination is nestled within a pristine wilderness, where leopards roam freely in their natural environment. The landscape surrounding the area is characterized by rugged granite formations, including caves and kopjes.

In the early morning, we embark on an exciting adventure to spot leopards in their natural habitat. 

This special location, the unique flavour of this land and its offerings, provide for an entirely different experience from the rest of Rajasthan.

Morning ride then transfer to visit the marble Jain Temple at Ranakpur in the afternoon, built in the 15th century and with intricate carving this is one of the most spectacular Jain temples in Rajasthan.

Standing watch over the small village of Ghanerao is the Ghanerao Rawla (castle). The House of Ghanerao has also been a patron of the distinctive Rajput miniature paintings. The village still hosts the School of Ghanerao Paintings, where local artists continue to create these unique artworks, keeping the artistic heritage alive.

Our journey takes us along the foothills of the Aravalli hills, leading us to the horses' home at Jodha Stud, Shobhawas. We pass by quaint villages and serene rural farmsteads, traversing the fascinating volcanic smooth rock formations. Amidst this picturesque landscape, we pause to rest and enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the shade of trees.

Finally, we arrive at the splendid 'Palace for Horses,' gracefully situated on the edge of a riverbed.

In the morning, we embark on a delightful ride, eventually arriving at Jodha Stud, the cherished home of our horses. 

After a satisfying lunch, the afternoon is reserved for celebrating Rangwali Holi, a joyous festival of colors. The colorful revelry takes place in open streets, parks, and around temples and buildings, but for your safety and enjoyment, we will celebrate this jubilant occasion within the confines of the farm. You will be provided with fresh white clothes, specially prepared for this festivity.

Our delightful journey takes us past serene lakes and charming villages, eventually leading us to the quaint haveli in the village of Narlai.
Rawla Narlai, a charming 17th-century property, was once a favored hunting lodge of the esteemed Jodhpur Royal Family. It continues to be under the ownership of Jodhpur family members, who have dedicated substantial efforts, resources, and affection to restoring this precious gem.

Early in the morning, we set out on our journey to Jodhpur by road. In the afternoon, we embark on a captivating sightseeing experience at the Mehrangarh Fort.

Majestically standing a hundred feet above the Jodhpur skyline on a sheer cliff, Mehrangarh Fort mesmerizes with its burnished red sandstone architecture, radiating an aura of invincibility and haunting beauty. Today, it is acknowledged as one of the best preserved fort in India.
