Caribbean Beaches and Samaná Peninsula

We'll go to the horse ranch for the first day of riding, lasting approximately 4-5 hours. We start our adventure with an orientation session with the horses and a meeting with the guide. Located amidst stunning countryside, the ranch offers picturesque views of mango groves, coconut palms and lush tropical greenery stretching as far as the eye can see. 

The first ride takes riders into the scenic Yonu mountains, providing a great opportunity to get used to their equine companions. Enjoy a leisurely lunch break by a serene waterfall, followed by an afternoon of river swimming, sunbathing and relaxation, before returning to the Bavaro hotel for the night.

We head towards the mountains (5-6 hours of riding) today. The day kicks off with breakfast before going on a car journey to the spot where the horses were stationed overnight. 

The day's adventure unfolds along extensive stretches of pristine white sandy shoreline, spanning from Lavacama to Laguna Limon. After parting ways with the horses, the journey continues to the overnight lodging, Hotel Coco Loco (or a similar option), conveniently situated near the beach.

Today's trail leads us through awe-inspiring landscapes spanning vast stretches of wild jungle terrain. Venture inland along the narrow valley paths toward El Cedro village, boasting a remarkable waterfall. 

Afterwards, make your way back to Coco Loco Hotel (or a similar option).

Riding: 4-5 hours

Today entails leisurely rides along powdery-white sandy beaches, where vast, uninhabited stretches invite gallops. Experience the unique thrill of swimming alongside the horses in the ocean before enjoying a satisfying lunch break. 

Return to Hotel Coco Loco (or a similar establishment) for a delightful dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Riding: 5-6 hours

Exploring untouched shorelines becomes irresistible, and today offers another opportunity for extended rides along the sandy shores back to Lavacama. It fulfills every fantasy you've ever had about beach riding! This excursion spans a considerable duration of about 5 hours with two breaks, allowing for potential ocean swims during the breaks.

Today's journey returns to the hills, offering stunning views en route to Bavaro for the last evening.

Riding: 4-5 hours

We will drive to the Samana peninsula and ride watching the sunset on horseback.

The Samaná Peninsula stands out as a stunning area within the Dominican Republic, often overlooked by many. Despite being the largest city in the vicinity, Samaná is dedicated to preserving its authentic charm and avoiding the influx of mainstream tourism. Spanning 1399 km², this peninsula surpasses numerous smaller islands in the Caribbean. Within this ecological haven, there's a wealth of sights waiting to be explored.

Take a scenic journey to the stunning shores of Playa Alleman and Playa El Limon, passing through lush forests and palm-filled groves, then tracing the Rio Abajo river on horseback. Also a ride on Playa Rincon is possible.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch and a good swim before heading back, passing through El Limon village and concluding with an afternoon transfer to Las Galeras.

Today we will have a half day ride to Playa Madame. Enjoy the beaches, the ocean and the palm trees.

Afternoon will be your free time, which you can use for any preferable activities. Feel free to swim, bathe or explore the surroundings. 

Travel from Sabana de la Mar to Hotel Caño Hondo amidst the rainforest via ferry. 

Chosen by Forbes magazine among the top ten ecotourism destinations globally, this hotel sits near the enchanting National Park Los Haitises. Here, mangrove swamps, islets, caves and verdant flora create a unique setting. The park sprawls across a limestone plateau, adorned with lush foliage nourished by high humidity, harboring around 100 bird species. Hotel activities include guided hikes, boat trips through mangrove swamps to caves boasting rock art and the opportunity to observe Humpback Whales in Samaná Bay (additional fees apply).

We drive from Caño Hondo to Punta Cana, visit the small village of Miches or a small ranch where we show how coffee and cocoa are made.
