This pack trip is an ultimate horseback adventure. You will ride on a reliable, seasoned mountain horse while your gear is transported on packhorses. This journey provides ample opportunities for photography and wildlife encounters, making it truly worthwhile. If you love horses, campfires, and fresh air, this experience is tailor-made for you.

We take pride in our well-trained horse string and skilled guides and cooks. True to Alberta’s spirit, our meals feature only the finest Alberta beef, farm-fresh produce, hearty lunches, and delicious dinners. Food plays an essential role in the experience, and we celebrate every meal together.

We share our experience with those who have a keen interest in what happens in Alberta's high country and ranchlands. 40 plus years have given opportunity to build a cowherd, dog pack, good horse string, build some nice cabins, organize good equipment, map out unbelievable trails, find qualified staff all the while calling it our lifestyle. Over the 40 years much has changed but the constant is our love of what we do. Welcome to our world and we will endeavor to share our best.

Route details

Once you move in, join a morning move with a bag lunch. After that, we will set the camp up and settle guests.

In the afternoon choose your activity between riding or fishing.

As the day draws to an end, enjoy your evening meal and some horse time.

Some basic items are:

50 - 60 lb Backpack or duffle:

Riding pants or jeans;
Riding boots – either lace up or pull on cowboy boots;
Rubber boots and or hiking boots;
Helmet ASTM APPROVED if you own one (no bike helmets). We have helmets;
Riding clothes;
Riding gloves;
Rain gear - slicker, rain pants and jacket (tear resistant);
Camp clothes;
Socks;
Shoes for camp - slippers;
Swim suit;
Underwear.

Extras:

Pillow;
Sleeping bag, pillow and blankets, very small pillow;
Toiletries – BIODEGRADEABLE shampoo;
Sun hat;

about tour

I enjoyed being able to spend a weekend with the family out. Lorne and Sharmane are awesome people, and the cabin was so comfortable! I recommend it to anyone who wants to be around horses. The countryside is breathtaking, and the privacy is there. The people look after your every need.
