This 6-night horseback safari is the perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. Based mainly at our scenic safari camp, the experience includes two unforgettable nights camping in the bush with your horse — a fully immersive way to explore the wild and sleep under a sky full of stars.

Your journey begins with a personal introduction to your horse. Each day offers both morning and afternoon rides, combining peaceful bush treks with thrilling canters across open plains. As you ride, you’ll have the chance to spot local wildlife and take in the stunning scenery that surrounds our ranch.

Between rides, you’ll have time to rest and recharge with our fresh, farm-to-table meals. Evenings are just as special, spent swapping stories by the lodge fire under the African sky.

As a family-run and family-friendly safari, we take pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment where every guest feels like part of the family.

Hi, I'm [Your Name] — second-generation on this land and deeply passionate about sensible, sustainable conservation and the education that makes it last. I believe in responsible, respectful animal encounters and in giving people the chance to really connect with nature — not from the back of a truck, but on foot or horseback, where the experience is immersive, ethical, and eco-friendly. Our horses have so much character and are so willing to be our partners out here; they’re the gateway to a more honest way of seeing wildlife and feeling part of the landscape. I love helping people get off the vehicle and into nature — to slow down, notice more, and truly feel Africa. When I’m not out in the bush, you’ll find me running around doing all the behind the scene things that make our safaris go and our ranch tick. I love playing with native ingredients to bring a twist to familiar dishes. I believe in community resilience and self-sufficiency — supporting training, buying local produce, and sharing knowledge beats handouts every time. Life on a ranch in Africa is raw, beautiful, and full of stories — from how food is grown and meat is prepared, to the rhythms of the land and the animals we share it with. It’s a joy to introduce others to it.nt point of view.

My name is Georgie, and I am the equine manager at the ranch since 2021. I have been riding since I was a child, competing in show jumping and now I mostly enjoy training and working with young horses. My passion lies with working with horses and I am in the midst of doing a degree in equine nutrition to advance my knowledge in horse care. I consider all of our horses as my babies! I have a bond with each one and I love to share my love for horse and the Zimbabwean bush with others.

Tour highlights

Riding Up Close and Personal with Giraffe
We have a large giraffe population scattered across our property. It is highly likely you will have the opportunity to ride up close to them!
Elephant Interactions
We have 3 rescued elephants that live with us. They roam free daily but in the evening they come back to their yard where they can be fed by guests.
Bush Sundowner and Dinner
Finish your ride in the bush and find a campfire and table of snacks waiting for you as well as a well deserved glass of wine.

Tour provider's comments

The best part about rides with us is that they can be tailored to the groups desire. We book intermediate and advanced riders, and can take beginner riders when booked in an exclusive group booking. Intermediate rides will include some trot and canter with a main focus on game viewing, while advanced will consist of longer canters, and there is some optional cross country jumps on a cross country course.

Accommodation

6 nights

Guests stay in our comfortable tented safari camp, each tent featuring private en-suite bathrooms and shaded verandas—the perfect place to relax between activities. The thatched main lodge, is where guests gather for shared meals, sundowners, and relaxed conversation.

Our viewing deck at the lodge overlooks a well-frequented waterhole, offering the chance to watch wildlife come and go throughout the day. It also makes a perfect location to sit around a fire in the evening.

As part of your experience, we also spend two nights camping in the bush, offering a more rustic but fully supported adventure. Tents are set up in advance and include comfortable mattresses. Evenings are spent around a crackling campfire, sharing stories under the stars, with the horses safely long-lined nearby.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Just like any regular horse-riding activity you will want to make sure you have proper riding jodhpurs / jeans, closed shoes/riding boots, and a helmet. Pack plenty of sunscreen and shirts that cover your shoulders & arms as it can get hot out there. Some riding areas may be bushy or thorny, so it is advised to bring chaps and riding attire to protect your legs.
