There is a certain sound to a real cattle drive: hooves in the dirt, riders calling across open country, cattle moving steadily toward spring grass. This week-long Montana ride puts you straight into that rhythm, beneath the dramatic Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and across the working landscapes of the Blackfeet Reservation.
Each morning begins with a hearty home-cooked breakfast before you head out for a full day in the saddle. Expect around 5–6 hours of riding each day, helping move cattle across wide, open country toward lush green pasture. Lunch is usually taken out on the trail, with big skies overhead and the day’s work still ahead. In the evening, riders return to the ranch for a generous dinner and time to rest after a proper day of Western riding.
You’ll stay each night in one of five cozy cabins, giving the trip both comfort and a true ranch atmosphere. Airport transportation is included, with arrival on Sunday and departure after breakfast on Saturday. If you want a week of cattle work, mountain views, home-cooked meals, and dirt-under-your-boots Montana tradition, this ride is ready for you!
