The guide is my self. My name is Luís, 36 years old and I am a Veterinary. I am the vet of my horses, so I like to give them the best live that they can have. I live with my horses, and every day I look to them to see if is everything ok with them. I had finished my veterinary school 12 years ago, and I did my practice in Spain for 3 months and in American Fondouk in Morocco, that is a voluntary association, that works with working animals. Your job there was to give the best quality of live to that animals, so they can them work with better animal welfare. I am also an endurance rider for 15 years, so I am an experience rider in country side. I do competitions of 40, 80, 120 and 160km. I am a very dedicated person, in all my projects, and I hope to continue the work that I do with this amassing animal that is the horse.

Route details

You will arrive in Lisbon and at 5:30 PM, transfer from the designated meeting point in the arrivals area of Lisbon International Airport. Your journey will take you south for about 120 kilometers to your accommodation, a cozy rural house named Uva do Monte/Serenada, located in Grândola, just 1.5 kilometers from the sea. Uva do Monte/Serenada is a charming and inviting rural retreat, staffed with friendly personnel and offering the comforts of a modern hotel. You can unwind in a relaxed atmosphere, take a dip in the pool, or rest in the comfortable rooms before your first day of horseback riding.

Dinner will be served at the hotel, allowing you to unwind and recharge.

After dinner, you'll enjoy your first night in Portugal.

Horses: Good natured, sure footed Portuguese Lusitanos trained for trails, using very comfortable sheepskin Portuguese military saddles.

Level & Experience: Intermediate. When booking, please provide us with information about your riding skills and experience to help us to establish your ability for the holiday.

Pace: Moderate with trotting and medium to long canters. Some gallops.
