A real Andean descendent who comes from a Cusco family who truly love horses and I am married with Karina from the Netherlands. I grew up with horses and it's my passion to work with them. I am also an official tour guide and I like to work with turists from all countries, showing them around in my country Peru and explaining them everything about the history. My riding activities in the Sacred Valley were soon discovered, and our hacienda began to appear in guidebooks and on the lists of highly recommended equestrian tour operators. The riding expeditions high in the Andes are exceptional with my team.

Route details

Day 1
Ride to Misminay

09:00 Our team is waiting for you at our hacienda in Paucarbamba to provide you with important information about recommendations and restrictions for the ride.

10:00 Our journey starts at the base of the valley, where we pass by one of the largest Inka cemeteries in the Valley in the southern part of Yanahurara. We go through the circuit of beaches of the Vilcanota River and a forest of eucalyptus trees. Then we arrive at the sector of Tarabamba, where we cross the bridge of the same name in order to enter the Pichingoto sector and make our entrance to the Salinas de Maras checkpoint.

12:00 The road leads us from the valley floor to the salt flats halfway up the hill. We arrive at the Salinas, dismount and have a guided walking tour.

12:30 We continue riding and climbing the hill until we reach the point for our lunch in Maras.

13:30 Lunch.

14:30 We ride again, through fields of barley, oats and other Andean products until we reach 3,500 meters above sea level, where we find the peasant community of Misminay. There we are welcomed by the locals with dances, songs and Andean music.
