Lake Huvsgul Trail

In the morning we will continue our road to Lake Huvsgul, the largest freshwater lake in Mongolia. It is also the cousin of the very famous Lake Baikal into which its water is drained after traveling through the Siberian forest.

On the way, we will take a break at Murun, the capital city of the Huvsgul province. Then we will keep traveling to the lake where we will arrive in the late evening.

Our horse trek adventure will start in the morning. We will pack up and mount our horses to begin our visit of the national park. We will meet at reindeer family and an get introduction to their unique lifestyle. Indeed contrarily to the other Mongolian nomads who live in gers, the Tsaatan live in tipis. Plus their livestock is mainly composed of reindeers, that they ride like horses.

We will spend the night camping in a new beautiful spot.

Embark on an exhilarating journey through the rugged terrain of the valley, navigating through the marshes and wet meadows with your trusty steed. As you ride amidst the towering trees and lush forests, the serenity of nature envelops you, creating a sense of tranquility and awe. At the end of the day, rest under the starlit sky in your cozy tent, surrounded by the peaceful landscape that stretches out before you.

Today's adventure takes you deeper into the heart of the valley, where the challenges of traversing rivers and muddy paths test your skills and courage. The majestic mountains loom overhead, casting a shadow over the lush greenery that lines your path. As you ride on, the beauty of the landscape unfolds before you, offering glimpses of paradise at every turn. In the evening, settle into your tent and bask in the quietude of the natural world around you.

The panoramic view of Lake Huvsgul from this vantage point is nothing short of breathtaking, providing a fitting conclusion to your mountain trekking adventure. As you take in the splendor of the landscape, surrounded by the majestic peaks and serene waters, you can't help but feel a sense of reverence for the natural beauty that surrounds you. Retire to your tent for one last night under the stars, savoring the memories of your unforgettable horse trekking experience.

We will ride down the mountains to reach the Black water mineral spring which is located at lake shore. You will have time to enjoy a nice swim in the lake.

This will be our last day horse riding. We will ride all day along the lake and enjoy from its surrounding.

As we begin our journey back towards Ulaanbaatar, we will immerse ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds us. From rolling hills to lush valleys, there will be no shortage of picturesque landscapes to admire along the way. We will take our time to stop and appreciate the tranquility of our surroundings, capturing memories that will last a lifetime. 

As the day comes to a close, we will set up camp at a peaceful midway point, nestled among the mountains, where we can relax and reflect on the adventures of the day.
