Our journey begins along the banks of the Thjórsá River, offering stunning views of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier and Mount Hekla. Landmannahellir, a charming outpost in the central highlands, serves as a base before we venture into the vibrant rhyolite mountains of Landmannalaugar, set against a backdrop of black lava fields.
As we descend back to civilization, we ride through black lava landscapes and lush green valleys.
