The picturesque Snæfellsnes Peninsula juts out into the Atlantic Ocean from Iceland's western coast. This region showcases various aspects of Icelandic nature. Descending to the shore, we follow a vast beach that emerges when the tide recedes. This traditional path provides horse riders with an excellent opportunity to practice "tölting" over long distances.
During this horseback riding adventure, we ride a terrain with extensive lava fields, craters and ash remnants from ancient volcanic activities in Hítardalur valley. The journey also includes rides across expansive light-colored sands at Löngufjörur beach, where the freedom of horses and riders is only limited by the tide. The striking crater Eldborg, plunging 50 meters deep, stands out as a prominent landmark, with the sand transitioning from light to dark as you approach its lava field.
