I bought my first horse at the age of 16 and have been smitten by the „horse bug“ ever since. By now i own 14 horses and some of my younger horses come from my own breeding lines.. I decided to use the COVID time to go to the Icelandic guiding school so now I am a certificate driver/guide. I like horses with a character, with good tölt and good temperament. Route details

You will be picked up at your hotel in Reykjavík at 9 am. Please ensure you are dressed in your riding attire at the time of pickup. Our first destination is the Friðheimar stable, where we will learn all about the Icelandic horse and enjoy a demonstration of their gaits. After that, we will take a brief transfer to a local horse farm for your first private ride. Following an introduction to safety, equipment, and the gaits of the Icelandic horse, we will go on a delightful ride along smooth tölting paths through the beautiful countryside.

After our ride, we will drive a short distance to Gullfoss waterfall before heading to Hotel Geysir, where we will spend one night. You will have a great opportunity to explore the Geysir hot spring area either after dinner or before breakfast.

Total riding time is approximately 3 hours.
