Every day, you’ll set out from Cha Cha Metsi, a cozy, family-owned camp overlooking the tranquil waters of Gama Tau lagoon — also known as “the gathering place of the lions.”
The lagoon is fed by the continuously flowing Santatandibe River, surrounding the camp with classic Okavango scenery: lush lagoons, floodplains, and tree-lined islands. This creates the perfect environment for memorable rides through stunning landscapes, with an incredible variety of wildlife to see along the way.
Riding through this water-filled wilderness on horseback is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
With just six en-suite tents accommodating 12 guests, the camp maintains an intimate, welcoming atmosphere. The owners have decorated it with a mix of antique furniture from their family collection, making it feel like a warm and personal home where you'll quickly become part of the family.
