Tour highlights
Route details
Upon reaching Maun airport, you will be greeted and taken to the outskirts of the Delta where you will meet your horses and guides. Your belongings will be carried by pack donkeys or mokoros (depending on water levels) to the camp, while you explore the watery wilderness of the delta on horseback. By sunset, you will reach your first remote campsite.
Riding: 1-3 hours
For capable and healthy riders. Strong intermediate to advanced riding levels.
Tack: trail saddles/English Wintec GP's.
Breed: mostly crossbreeds with some purebred Appaloosas.
Children are allowed to participate but they MUST be advanced riders.
Accommodation
The accommodation is shared.
Single Supplement: from 925 to 2790 USD depending on the season and date.
You will reside in an extremely comfortable and portable camp with spacious tents, comfortable stretcher beds, bucket showers and basic toilets. The camp can be moved either by a group of canoes steered by locals during the rainy season or by donkeys and their guides who are familiar with the area. The flexibility to relocate the camp allows for exploring different parts of the delta to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities.
