Exploring Rural Argentina on a Carriage

After breakfast, we’ll take a 20-minute transfer to meet the carriages. Our journey begins with a 30 km drive toward Castex Bridge, where we'll make a stop to change horses before reaching our lunch spot, prepared by the field kitchen. After resting and another horse change, we’ll continue 17 km to Villa Lía, a charming traditional Argentine town. There, we’ll have time to explore before enjoying dinner and spending the night in a local house that serves as a hotel.

We will have breakfast at the hotel and leave in the carriages towards Cañada Honda, a journey of 26 kms, where the field kitchen will be waiting for us. After resting and changing horses we will head to 23 km to Estancia Santa Helena, a traditional country ranch on the Baradero river where we will spend the night.

After breakfast we headed to El Torito in a journey of 23 kms, a traditional grocery store with more than 200 years of history and on the royal road where we will have lunch. After the break we return to Portela a journey of 19 kms and we will arrive at the Branch a country bowling alley and there we will spend the night in country houses.

We left the branch to make a journey of 20 kms to Beladrich, another traditional bowling alley on the Camino Real. After lunch have a  20 kms drive and we will spend the first night in the field cabins, a comfortable mobile hotel companion to the field kitchen. Dinner and night at the post.

This day features a half-day carriage ride covering 30 km to a ranch, where we’ll leave the carriages and take a 20 km transfer to San Antonio de Areco, a town rich in Argentine tradition. After checking into the hotel, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Parque Criollo Museum, the Las Lilas Carriage Museum, and explore traditional saddlery and silverware shops. Dinner will be at a traditional restaurant.

After breakfast, we’ll transfer back to meet the carriages and set off for the Monastery of San Pablo de la Cruz. Our 20 km journey includes lunch along the scenic fish road. We’ll conclude the tour at the historic 200-year-old monastery, where we’ll bid farewell to the horses and carriages. A one-hour transfer will take us back to La Yunta de Cruz for a traditional farewell barbecue, featuring regional music and dance. This will be our final night together.
