We get it, not everyone is as horsey as you are! However, this doesn't mean you have to go on a horsey adventure on your own!

We welcome groups of mixed riding abilities, ages, and interests, which is why this trip is designed to meet everyone's needs. Some group members may only want to ride half days or not at all, but for the non-riders we offer other activities such as game walks, game drives, elephant feeding and interactions, birding, game viewing from a blind, and vulture feeding. We also have a comfortable, spacious lodge with a swimming pool and viewing deck for those who just want to put their feet up and chill.

This trip is ideal for friend or family groups where only some members are riders. Beginners rides and lessons can be provided intermittently throughout the trip as well.

Hi, I'm Juliet — second-generation on this land and deeply passionate about sensible, sustainable conservation and the education that makes it last. I believe in responsible, respectful animal encounters and in giving people the chance to really connect with nature — not from the back of a truck, but on foot or horseback, where the experience is immersive, ethical, and eco-friendly. Our horses have so much character and are so willing to be our partners out here; they’re the gateway to a more honest way of seeing wildlife and feeling part of the landscape. I love helping people get off the vehicle and into nature — to slow down, notice more, and truly feel Africa. When I’m not out in the bush, you’ll find me running around doing all the behind the scene things that make our safaris go and our ranch tick. I love playing with native ingredients to bring a twist to familiar dishes. I believe in community resilience and self-sufficiency — supporting training, buying local produce, and sharing knowledge beats handouts every time. Life on a ranch in Africa is raw, beautiful, and full of stories — from how food is grown and meat is prepared, to the rhythms of the land and the animals we share it with. It’s a joy to introduce others to it.nt point of view.

Georgie
My name is Georgie, and I am the equine manager at the ranch. I have been riding since I was a child, competing in show jumping and now I mostly enjoy training and working with young horses. My passion lies with working with horses and I am in the midst of doing a degree in equine nutrition as well to advance my knowledge in horse care. I have been working at the ranch for over 3 years and consider all of our horses as my babies! I have a bond with each one and I love to share my love for horse and the Zimbabwean bush with others.

Tour highlights

Elephant Encounters
We have 3 rescued elephants that live with us. They roam free daily but in the evening they come back to their yard where they can be fed by guests.
Bush Sundowner
Finish your ride in the bush and find a campfire and table of snacks waiting for you as well as a well deserved glass of wine.
Riding Up Close with Giraffe
We have a large giraffe population scattered across. It is highly likely you will have the opportunity to ride up close to them!

Personal equipment you need for the tour

For Riders:

Just like any regular horse-riding activity you will want to make sure you have proper riding jodhpurs / jeans, closed shoes/riding boots, and a helmet. Pack plenty of sunscreen and shirts that cover your shoulders & arms as it can get hot out there. Some riding areas may be bushy or thorny, so it is advised to bring chaps and riding attire to protect your legs.

For Non Riders:

Sun protection is essential year round in Zimbabwe. We also recommend some good hiking boots if you would like to go on bush walks as well as tick protection.
