I have always been fond of horses. I started riding in my home country, France, when I was 6 years old, and haven’t stopped ever since! My first job, when I was 16, was already with horses. I spent my summer holidays riding and taking care of the horses for a famous leisure park. For 5 years, I was also a volunteer rider for the night show there. After my studies I flew to Finland, where I found my calling in life: guiding. Indeed after accompanying a few groups for a hike or to observe bears in the wilderness, I came to like entertaining and making people discover the beauty of nature a lot. So it was time I realized one of my childhood dreams: working with sled dogs in Finnish Lapland. After a long winter season, it was time to realize another dream. Still guiding – this is definitely what I wanted to do – but this time in Iceland, with horses. In the South of the country, I discovered the Icelandic horse and all its characteristics. Then came North Iceland, where I was responsible for another horse riding tour stables.

Route details

Arrival at Skellefteå airport in the afternoon.

We pick you up and drive you to your accommodation, the lovely campsite of Rännudden.

You settle to your cabin for the week and take a relaxing first evening.

Diner is served in the small restaurant.

This is an active holiday. Horse riding, dogsledding, snowshoeing, ski and survival course in temperatures that can sometimes go to -30°C. You will need good physical condition to enjoy it to the fullest!

Possibility to book a private stuga. Price: 500 SEK / night

During the whole stay, you will be staying at the lovely campsite Rännudden, on the shore of the lake Norsjön, approximately 25 minutes away from our farm.

You will share a 2-person stuga, the typical Swedish cabin. Each stuga has its own toilet and shower. If you are a group of 3 persons, you can even decide to all stay in the same cabin as there are one single bed and a double bed-sofa.

All the meals noted “at the camp” will be served in the small restaurant. Diners consist of 2 courses and are home made from local products. The restaurant has its own bar where you can enjoy a drink in the evening.

It's important to know

For all riding trips we recommend you pack

Riding trousers
Riding shoes with which you can also walk easily (2 to 3 sizes bigger than usual if you come in winter)
Thick socks
Good riding gloves
Headbands and/or hats
A woolen sweater and/or a fleece
A rain jacket and rain trousers
A swimsuit
Inside clothes and slippers if you like to wear some inside
Sun glasses
A head lamp

For winter we strongly recommend

Good quality thermal underwear (merino wool for example)
A second layer in wool or fleece
A breathable wind- and water-proof jacket
Woolen socks and gloves
Under gloves for the riding days (we will provide you winter riding gloves to wear over)
A thin but warm headband or hat to wear under the riding helmet
A pair of snow boots, snow trousers, a woolen hat and mittens for the spare time outdoors
No coton!
