Sierra Nevada to Tabernas Desert

Drive to the equestrian center located in Bubión, which is situated 2 kilometers away from Capileira. The horses will be introduced to the participants. Our journey will commence by ascending the GR7 path through the Blood Ravine, offering picturesque views of the villages in the Poqueira Valley. 

We will then descend to the village of Pórtugos, where we will have lunch accompanied by refreshing beers and tapas. Continuing along bridle paths, we will once again ascend through oak woods until we reach the track leading us to Trevélez, providing us with stunning views of the villages in La Taha Valley. Throughout the ride, there will be opportunities for exhilarating gallops, allowing us to admire the breathtaking panoramic view of Sierra Contraviesa and Lújar. 

Finally, we will descend to Trevélez via a bridle path. Renowned for its hams, Trevélez is recognized as the highest village in Spain, situated at an altitude of 1,700 meters. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Overnight: Hotel La Fragua

We will begin our journey by crossing the bridge over the Trevélez river and taking a bridle path that goes up the left side of the ravine, leaving behind the village of Trevélez. Along the way, we will be able to admire the stunning landscapes of the Contraviesa, Lújar and Gádor mountain ranges, with the latter being located in the province of Almería. Afterward, we will descend on a more gradual path to Juviles, where we will stop for lunch. 

Following that, we will continue our descent through a narrow path in the gorge until we reach Tímar. From there, we will take another bridle path that leads us to the charming Hotel Alquería de Morayma, which is situated near Cádiar. Throughout this part of the journey, we will have descended over 1,000 meters. Our day will conclude with dinner at the hotel.

Overnight: Hotel Alquería de Morayma

We will start our journey by riding through the hills, enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views of Sierra Nevada and the sierras of Contraviesa and Gádor. Afterwards, we will continue our ride along the dry riverbed until we reach Ugíjar. Here, we will have a picnic lunch in the open air. 

In the afternoon, we will make our way to Picena, where we will dismount from the horses. From there, we will drive to Laujar de Andarax, covering a distance of 20 kilometers. Finally, we will have dinner at the hotel.

Overnight: Hotel Villa Turística de Laujar

Go on a car journey towards Picena. Once we pass through the village of Picena, we will go downhill towards the Bayarcal river, which marks the entrance into the Almería province. Then, we will face a steep ascent up the Inizar hills, where we can enjoy a fast horse ride. Following that, we will descend using a narrow path to Guarros, where we will have a picnic lunch. Next, we will head towards Laujar de Andarax, a significant region for wine production and the final home of Boabdil, the last Moorish king. Finally, we will have dinner at the hotel.

Overnight: Hotel Villa Turística de Laujar

Today, we begin our journey to the nearby village of Benecid. We will ride to the Andarax river and cross it to make our way across Sierra Gádor on a track. As we ride, we will have the pleasure of admiring the breathtaking view of Sierra Nevada with a magnificent panoramic view on the other side of the river. Once we have crossed Cortijo Cacín, we will continue our ride to the Barriada de Alcora, where we will arrive in time for a delicious lunch. Throughout the morning ride, there will be opportunities for exhilarating gallops. 

After a short rest, we will ride through a pinewood for an hour until we reach the Casita de Cristal, where we will leave the horses at the gates of the desert. From there, we will drive to Canjayar, which is only 4 kilometers away. In the evening, we will have dinner at the hotel located in the central square of the town.

Overnight: Posada de Calvario

Meet at Casita de Cristal and drive to start our last day ride. We'll spend an hour riding to Rágol, where we can enjoy the beautiful views of the Tabernas Desert. Along the way, we'll cross the Andarax river and make our way to the mountain of Montenegro through the dry river bed of Guadix. This route will provide opportunities for some exciting canters and allow us to experience the desert landscape. 

We'll then descend to the vibrant dry riverbed of Alboloduy, passing through a maze of canyons that resemble those seen in spaghetti-western films. Our journey will end at Alboloduy, located on the edge of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. Once we bid farewell to the horses, we'll have lunch in the village before embarking on a two-hour drive to Granada. To conclude our adventure, we'll enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport of Granada.
