Alentejo Coastal Trails

Today, we will drive you to our stables where the horses are kept. From there, we'll go on a journey through the hills of Grandola, taking in the stunning landscape of cork trees. After a few initial trots, you'll quickly see the horses' excellent temperament and sure-footedness.

For lunch, we’ll enjoy a delightful picnic featuring traditional Portuguese dishes, along with fresh bread and fine wine. After a short break post-lunch, we’ll ride back through the ancient cork tree forests.

We will then arrive at Coudelaria Quinta do Almargem to stable the horses. A brief 10-minute car ride will return you to your hotel, Uva do Monte/Serenada, where you can relax and get ready for dinner at Fadista Restaurant in Melides.

Today, you'll explore forests filled with eucalyptus, cork, and wild trees, taking in their unique fragrances while listening to the sound of the bark crunching beneath the horses' hooves.

We'll pause for lunch at a stunning viewpoint featuring an old ruined church. After our picnic, we can enjoy a leisurely siesta.

Later, we'll have the chance to experience some brisk canters along the sandy paths that wind through this region of the Portuguese countryside.

Dinner will be served at Quinta do Lourenço, followed by an overnight stay at our hotel, Uva do Monte/Serenada.

Today, we will journey from Uva do Monte/Serenada to the beach. The ride is stunning in the early morning as the sun rises over the dunes.

There’s an opportunity for a beach canter before we arrive at a charming picnic area in the pine forest, where your horses can take a break while you enjoy a swim in the sea.

After lunch at Melides by the Santo André Lagoon, we’ll ride through the dunes and arrive at the beach stables for the horses to rest.

Following this, there will be a short transfer back to the hotel, Uva do Monte/Serenada.

After breakfast, you'll pack your bags, and around noon, we'll take a short transfer to the new hotel where you can relax and recharge. Nômade/Pinhal da Coutada is a quaint countryside resort where you can stroll among the pine trees, ride a bike, or simply unwind by the natural pool. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by time to rest. If you're interested, we can arrange tours to the historic village of Alcácer do Sal, including a visit to one of Portugal's oldest handmade saddleries.

Today, we will journey from Nômade/Pinhal da Coutada to the Comporta beach area, passing through pine forests and vineyards. It’s a stunning ride at dawn as the sun rises over the dunes. There’s an opportunity for a beach canter before we arrive at a lovely picnic spot in the forest, where the horses can rest while you take a swim in the two natural lagoons.

After lunch, we will ride through the forest to the Brejinho da Costa winery vineyards.

We will return to Nômade/Pinhal da Coutada for the night, and dinner will be enjoyed at a nice local restaurant.

Today, we will journey from the Brejinho da Costa winery to the Sado River, with plenty of chances for faster riding along the way.

Our horses will guide us safely through rice fields, and we'll find sandy trails where we can ride while listening to the nearby sea.

On our way back, we can take a refreshing swim before reaching Nômade/Pinhal da Coutada. We'll conclude the day with a farewell dinner and spend the night at Nômade/Pinhal da Coutada.
