Route details

Your unforgettable day begins in Diabat village, just outside Essaouira, where you’ll meet your friendly guides and the well-trained horses. After a short briefing, your adventure starts through the peaceful Argan and Eucalyptus forests, where you might see local shepherds and traditional Berber homes hidden between the trees.

The route continues toward the golden sand dunes, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The landscapes constantly change — from forest trails to open desert-like dunes and coastal cliffs — a photographer’s dream.

Around midday, you’ll enjoy a relaxing Moroccan-style picnic in the shade, featuring fresh local products, mint tea, and delicious homemade dishes. It’s a perfect moment to rest, share stories, and connect with your horse.

After lunch, the ride continues towards the wild beaches south of Essaouira, where the vast open sands invite you to gallop freely or walk quietly by the waves. As the day ends, you’ll experience the highlight of the journey — a sunset ride along the ocean, where the sky turns gold and pink over the Atlantic.

The experience concludes with a gentle ride back to the stables in Diabat and a short transfer to Essaouira city center — ending the day with lasting memories of freedom, nature, and connection.

Riders must be at least 8 years old and in good physical condition. No previous riding experience is required, but guests should be comfortable spending several hours outdoors.

Helmets and riding equipment are provided. Please wear long pants, closed shoes or boots, and bring sunscreen, a hat.
