Your path begins at the whispering sands of Elsentasarkhai, then winds past the ancient spray of Orkhon Waterfall and climbs into the Khangai mountains, where the legendary Eight Lakes shimmer like hidden jewels. Over several days on horseback, you’ll cross rivers and steppes, sleep in nomadic homes, and witness landscapes untouched by time. Later, soak in Tsenkher’s steaming hot springs and walk the sacred grounds of Karakorum, the once-mighty capital of the Mongol Empire.

You will explore the nomadic traditions by staying in guest gers hosted by local families or small camps. This is Mongolia without filters—raw, real, and unforgettable. Join us, saddle up and ride where the roads end!

Route details

We set off for the Elsentasarkhai Sand Dunes, also known as Mini Gobi or Mongol Els. This unique area is a mix of sand dunes, rolling hills, rocky outcrops, and patches of willow trees, streams, and bushes. Visit a local nomadic family, enjoy a short camel ride, hike the surroundings, and take unforgettable photos. Overnight stay in a guest ger with a nomadic family.
