What makes Mongolia unforgettable — the silence of the steppe, the rush of a waterfall, or the feeling of moving through it all on horseback? This journey takes you straight into the changing landscapes of Central Mongolia, where golden dunes give way to green valleys, volcanic rock, river bends, and open grasslands. In just a few days, you cross some of the country’s most striking scenery and get close to the rhythm of nomadic life.

The route begins at Elsen Tasarkhai, known as the Mini Gobi, where sand dunes, shrubs, forest, and river meet in one rare landscape. You’ll visit a camel-herding family and ride Bactrian camels across the dunes before continuing toward the wide Orkhon Valley. There, horseback riding leads you to the dramatic Orkhon Waterfall, one of the great natural sights of Central Mongolia. The journey also includes Kharkhorin, once the capital of the Mongol Empire, with time to visit the Karakorum museum and the historic Erdene Zuu Monastery.

Accommodation is in tourist camps, with meals included as listed in the itinerary, and all transfers arranged for you. Horse riding is spread across three days, with an additional camel ride in the Mini Gobi, so the experience never feels repetitive. If you want a short Mongolian journey that still gives you sand, steppe, history, and riding, this route does exactly that. Set out and see how much Mongolia can hold in four remarkable days!

My friend and I had a brilliant holiday exploring Mongolia thanks to this team. We picked Gerelee and her company as they were very quick to respond to chat messages and tailored their tour to meet all our needs. The driver Mr Sukher and our guide Natso were great and went above and beyond to make our stay in mongolia memorable. Our return flight to UK was delayed 27hours. Natso messaged us regularly to make sure we were ok and liaised with Mr Sukher who was very flexible and picked us up and dropped us at the airport. Felt the team cared very much we enjoyed our time in Mongolia...which we did!

I'm thrilled that I chose this company for my tour. The price was reasonable compared to other travel companies, but the service was exceptional. Our tour guide, who spoke flawless English, exceeded my expectations and took great care of my nearly-2-year-old son. He was very accommodating and flexible with the itinerary. Mongolia itself was incredible, and we even got to experience the Nomad lifestyle for one night. We definitely plan to return, and we would absolutely use this team again. My only suggestion is to confirm your booking a week or so before the tour, especially during the busy high season.
