Experience the life of modern nomads and horseback riding as a shepherd for three days. Explore Charyn Canyon, Kolsay, and Kaindy Lakes.
Charyn Canyon, 154 km long and situated 195 km east of Almaty near China's border, is part of Charyn National Park. It boasts steep mountains up to 300 m tall, notably the Valley of Castles, featuring a unique grove of Sogdian ash, a relic species. Kolsay Lakes, nestled at 2250 and 2700 meters, offer a stunning natural landscape with rare flora and fauna, while Lake Kaindy, formed in 1911 after an earthquake, is known for its cold temperatures and birch trees submerged due to a landslide-formed dam.
