Tratturo and Molise are inseparable like classic pairs such as horse and rider, cheese and wine, and nature and culture. Join us on an exciting trail ride through the heart of Italy.

In Altomolise, one of Italy's most authentic regions, we trace the ancient "green highways" known as Tratturi, once traversed by shepherds and cowherds centuries ago. These paths stretch over 200 km across the countryside, at times enchanting, then narrow and overgrown, blending into the landscape.

Along these routes, we connect with history and tales while riding our dependable, gentle four-legged companions. We uncover old villages, churches, and ruins, relishing expansive vistas and serene tranquility. Indulge in traditional cuisine and a sense of timeless joy. Here is where you can truly unwind, reconnect with the essence of life, slow down, and discover the small wonders along the way. Altomolise offers an ideal setting where time appears to have paused, inviting you to embrace its enduring charm.

As a qualified riding guide, my heart has been beating for our ranch with 20 horses and trail riding in Altomolise and Abruzzo since 2016. Together with Carmine as a trail guide, we organize 6 different trails and a stationary program. Our 2 dogs come with us on all trail rides and, along with the horses, are part of the family. Carmine has been riding 2000km per year for over 30 years and knows the untouched area like the back of her hand.

    about provider

Where to begin… it was a dream that sadly had to come to an end. Sandra and Carmine do an incredible job, making you feel safe and welcome in this stunning environment. After the test ride, they ensure that you are paired with the perfect horse for your skill level for the rest of the trail. The food and the landscape are absolutely amazing. Be prepared for some physical strain at first, as the initial 2-3 days might bring muscle aches ;) But it’s 100% worth it.

Just returned from our third visit! The trails were beautiful and challenging, and the hospitality was exceptional. The horses' well-being is a top priority, and we were perfectly matched with our steeds. Warmly recommended.
