Saddle up and discover life on a real working ranch. During our Ranch Week you’ll experience the cowboy spirit, learning how to partner with your horse and master tasks that first seem challenging but soon feel natural. At Cornacchino, where we’ve been breeding and training horses for over 20 years, you’ll join our daily ranch routines across 100 hectares of meadows, streams, and woodlands, home to around 50 horses from newborn foals to a 34-year-old elder. Throughout the week you’ll feed and saddle your horse, practice one-handed riding, open and close gates from horseback, drive herds, and handle a hand horse even in tough terrain. The highlight: our Horse Drive, where together we move a herd to fresh pastures—supplies carried by our hand horses—ending with a BBQ celebration.

It's important to know
Your riding gear should be comfortable and most importantly, should not be brand new (especially footwear), since new gear often holds unpleasant surprises. The footwear should be comfortable not only for riding, but also for walking, with a hard sole that permits a good contact between foot and stirrup. Footwear with a slick sole and very tight clothing should be avoided. The trousers should be comfortable and robust. You may also need a raincoat , a hat for protection and swimwear; you should bring along a light jumper for the evening.

Had an amazing time out in the countryside, enjoying delicious, real-deal food every day. Plus, the horses were top-notch and totally safe, making those Tuscan adventures extra special. Did both the short rides around the farm and the longer treks each week. Can't forget it. - DDanielabout provider22 Oct, 2023Imagine being in a gorgeous spot surrounded by nature and being part of a big Italian 'family' that gives you an amazing time riding horses. P.S. the horse training was tough but totally worth it! The horses are treated really well and you can see they're super healthy because they get to roam around in nature together, which keeps them strong and happy. And let's talk about the food - it's so yummy and there's plenty of it. Just a heads up, you might need some extra willpower because it's tough not to go back for seconds1

They always surprise me. As soon as we arrive, they treat us incredibly well. I've been there twice already, and every day feels like I'm being taken care of and welcomed with open arms. It's like being with friends or family and it feels really cozy. The beds are comfy, the rooms are nice and cool and the food is absolutely delicious. I might have gained a few pounds, but it was totally worth it. I'm already looking forward to going back next year. Thanks a bunch, everyone!
