After a warm Irish welcome with tea and homemade scones, you’ll enjoy an audio-visual presentation showcasing scenes filmed across the locations you’ll visit. Then meet your horse, receive a riding assessment, and prepare to dress in themed costumes with swords and armor before riding along the famous Dark Hedges.

Continue your journey through Irish farmland, along dramatic coastal cliffs, and across Whitepark Bay’s pristine beaches. Ride in the footsteps of Arya Stark, Theon Greyjoy, and Brienne of Tarth, while enjoying breathtaking scenery, top-quality riding, and unforgettable photo opportunities throughout the day.

My name is Danny and I own and run a Horse Farm and an Equestrian Center along with my wife Mary, son Donal, daughter Therese, nephew Daniel and a whole host of other staff who are completely dedicated to our horses and our guests. We really do have one of the most iconic, picturesque and dramatic coastlines in the world (just ask Lonely Planet) and what better way to experience it than on the back of one of our trusted Irish cobs or Irish sports horses. Our aim is to provide clients with quality horse riding experiences while helping them to become immersed in our local community and culture. You may come as visitors but leave as friends, having developed a strong connection and sense of belonging with our country, our horses and our people.

Route details

Your experience begins at Equestrian Centre, where you’ll meet your guides and enjoy refreshments while learning about the filming locations you’ll visit. After meeting your horse and completing a riding assessment, you’ll head into the North Antrim Hills for your first scenic ride.

Next, you’ll dress in Game of Thrones costumes and ride along The Dark Hedges, famously known as The Kings Road, where Arya Stark escaped King’s Landing. After photos, continue to Ballintoy, where multiple scenes were filmed including the Isle of Pyke and Dragonstone.

Enjoy beach riding at Whitepark Bay, with opportunities to trot, canter, or gallop along three miles of pristine coastline. Following a traditional Irish lunch, ride to Ballintoy Harbour, then continue to Larrybane Quarry, the location of Renly Baratheon’s camp.

After soaking in panoramic views across the Causeway Coast, return to the centre with unforgettable memories of your Westeros adventure.

If you are looking for an amazing equestrian experience in Ireland, this is the place to go. The team members are lovely, and their horses are top notch. They carefully pair you with the right ride which made me feel very comfortable and safe! We had a 2 day experience and it felt like we really got to see a lot - the beach ride was incredible, nothing else like it in all my travels. We went in the “off season” so the terrain was quite muddy and it was rainy and cold. However, that didn’t stop us from having a nice time. The team has great rides that they trailer you to no matter what the season is - don’t worry about hitting the busier time. If you do come this time of year, be sure to bundle up!!

We booked a 7 days stay at the end of August and it was the most amazing trip we’ve ever been on! We were put up in the nicest hotel just on the coast, room was cozy and clean, the food was unreal and our taxi drivers were some of the kindest people. Everyone shared with us stories of Ireland. The days of riding were some of the best riding abroad I’ve ever done. The gallops on the beaches were amazing and we really loved the Dunluce Castle. Our guides were amazing and experienced. The booking process was simple and Daniel made sure the trip was tailored to exactly what we needed and wanted! We will be back to do this again!

Beach ride is amazing!!! We are experienced riders, so weren’t sure what to expect, but the whole experience surpassed our expectations! We arrived at the ranch and had a quick trial ride before bringing the horses to the beach. The horses were great fun, sure footed and forward going and we had such a great time galloping and cantering around the beach. We had some time in the sea, and Ben, our host, was an absolute legend! Great pictures and videos too - if you don’t have evidence in pics did it even happen?
