The 3.5 Hour Picnic Ride is the ultimate horse riding adventure in the North Antrim Hills, offering extended riding time, higher elevations, and some of the most spectacular panoramic views in Ireland.

This off-road trail takes riders higher and deeper into the mountains, following scenic countryside paths and climbing to breathtaking viewpoints. As you ascend, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with 360-degree panoramic views across Northern Ireland and beyond.

At the summit, you’ll stop for a relaxing mountain top picnic, where you can enjoy incredible views across:

The Glens of Antrim
Inishowen & Malin Head (Ireland’s northernmost point)
The Sperrin Mountains
The Mourne Mountains
Slieve Beagh in County Monaghan

After enjoying your picnic and taking photos, the ride continues back down through scenic countryside trails, completing a memorable and immersive mountain adventure.

My name is Danny and I own and run a Horse Farm and an Equestrian Center along with my wife Mary, son Donal, daughter Therese, nephew Daniel and a whole host of other staff who are completely dedicated to our horses and our guests. We really do have one of the most iconic, picturesque and dramatic coastlines in the world (just ask Lonely Planet) and what better way to experience it than on the back of one of our trusted Irish cobs or Irish sports horses. Our aim is to provide clients with quality horse riding experiences while helping them to become immersed in our local community and culture. You may come as visitors but leave as friends, having developed a strong connection and sense of belonging with our country, our horses and our people.

If you are looking for an amazing equestrian experience in Ireland, this is the place to go. The team members are lovely, and their horses are top notch. They carefully pair you with the right ride which made me feel very comfortable and safe! We had a 2 day experience and it felt like we really got to see a lot - the beach ride was incredible, nothing else like it in all my travels. We went in the “off season” so the terrain was quite muddy and it was rainy and cold. However, that didn’t stop us from having a nice time. The team has great rides that they trailer you to no matter what the season is - don’t worry about hitting the busier time. If you do come this time of year, be sure to bundle up!!

We booked a 7 days stay at the end of August and it was the most amazing trip we’ve ever been on! We were put up in the nicest hotel just on the coast, room was cozy and clean, the food was unreal and our taxi drivers were some of the kindest people. Everyone shared with us stories of Ireland. The days of riding were some of the best riding abroad I’ve ever done. The gallops on the beaches were amazing and we really loved the Dunluce Castle. Our guides were amazing and experienced. The booking process was simple and Daniel made sure the trip was tailored to exactly what we needed and wanted! We will be back to do this again!

Beach ride is amazing!!! We are experienced riders, so weren’t sure what to expect, but the whole experience surpassed our expectations! We arrived at the ranch and had a quick trial ride before bringing the horses to the beach. The horses were great fun, sure footed and forward going and we had such a great time galloping and cantering around the beach. We had some time in the sea, and Ben, our host, was an absolute legend! Great pictures and videos too - if you don’t have evidence in pics did it even happen?
