Why is this ride so special? You’ll enjoy the unforgettable experience of swimming with horses in the Aegean Sea! Our horses love it too — and the salty water keeps their coats shining for the rest of the season.

The ride begins with preparing our horses before heading toward Eftalou, a coastal area famous for its natural springs. Along the way, enjoy the scenic landscape with opportunities for trot and canter. Once we arrive on the beach, we dismount and remove the gear before riding bareback into the sea. Depending on the weather and the water, we may simply wade knee-high or go deep enough for the horses to swim alongside us.

This unique adventure lets you enjoy the clear waters while connecting with the horses on a whole new level. Please note: this ride is for experienced riders due to its distance from the starting point.

Route details

We'll prepare the horses together at our yard and then will ride toward scenic Eftalou with opportunities for trot and canter. At the beach, we'll remove the gear and will continue bareback into the Aegean, where you’ll wade or swim with the horses before heading back to the yard.

Last year, I had a fantastic time on a riding vacation here. The weather was great , the people I was with were awesome and the horses were amazing. I totally suggest checking it out! 😊

It was awesome! Rita's an awesome teacher in every way. The horses are well-trained, healthy and the spot where they're kept is just stunning. Plus, they really look after the horses well - which isn't always the case. Everyone there was nice and super helpful. I'm definitely going back!
