Besides the picturesque island of Rømø, visitors also have the opportunity to explore the island of Mandø.
With only 35 residents, Mandø is very quiet in the winter. The island is home to an equestrian center with a small farm, offering plenty of opportunities to explore the nearby island on horseback.
The exact start time for the ride cannot be determined until 1-2 days before due to the tide. In the morning, the horses are prepared and transported to Vester Vedstad, where they are unloaded, saddled and the adventure begins.
The route is marked by trees in the seabed, guiding the horses through the water. This historic road is not suitable for cars as it is rarely completely dry. The ride takes you across moors, along the beach, and through Mandø's only settlement, Mandø City.
