Whether you're a complete beginner or a lifelong horse owner, this retreat is designed for everyone. Graduated with High Honors in Biology from Mount Holyoke College in 2000 and worked at the FDA’s Division of Hematology where my research was published in two peer-reviewed medical journals. Received my certification as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner in 2002 from the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine while also studying for my certification as a practitioner in Angel Therapy, Reiki, and Nutritional Consulting. Apprenticed with Dr. Sylvester DeVaux, Naturopath and Reflexologist from St. Lucia and began seeing clients professionally in 2009. Currently teach certification classes for the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine. Very excited to share my knowledge and experience with you and to support you in achieving all of your wellness goals.

Hot Springs healing day in La Fortuna! Begin your Costa Rica adventure by hanging out and relaxing in hot springs all day and enjoy dinner at the springs. The shuttle will take you directly from San Jose (designated pick up location) to the springs.

Arrival to Dances with Horses Ranch in El Castillo with Nancy. Your bags will have already been tagged and dropped off at the ranch waiting for you, so you don't have to think about a thing!

I thoroughly enjoyed the mountain horseback ride as it helped me overcome my fear of trail riding after a negative experience. The beach ride, especially with the unexpected whale sighting, was also fantastic. Working closely with Nan's herd and getting to know the horses on a personal level was incredibly peaceful and enjoyable. Overall, the entire experience was magical and we felt well taken care of from start to finish.

The Healing with Horses retreat was an incredible experience, possibly the best trip I've ever taken. It allowed me to take a break from the stresses of work and school, confront and overcome obstacles and bond with a fantastic group of fellow retreaters. Interacting with the horses, whether through riding or the Liberty method, created a joyful and peaceful environment that made this trip truly memorable. Amber and her team were also very efficient and accommodating. As a result of the retreat, I feel reenergized and determined to achieve the goals I set during my time there.
